Scopus @ UAF: A Two-Part Workshop Thursday, December 10th, 2020
Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and citation database of scholarly articles, books and conference proceedings. Users can investigate global research in science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.
We are offering a two-part workshop which will cover the basics of using Scopus AND which will cover advanced features and tools for scholars.
Workshop One: Scopus Introduction Starts at 10 AM (AK time) - 1 hour
This is appropriate for all levels and will cover:
- What is Scopus?
- Why use this database?
- Tips to effectively and efficiently use Scopus
BREAK: 11am-11:30am
Workshop Two: Scopus Updates and Analytics Starts at 11:30 AM (AK time) - 1 hour
This is appropriate for faculty, advisory staff and researchers, and will cover:
- New and updated Scopus features
- Specialized Scopus uses including author profiles, analytics and an intro to journal metrics
- Scopus roadmap
